I'm Afraid of LeBron and Bosh. Are You?

Does anyone feel the way I do? I've been a hardcore Nets fan for 20 years. The first thing I do in the morning is read NetsDaily. I even watch the summer league games online. What I love about the Nets is they are in some ways lovable losers. By this I'm mean they struggle to be successful because of a millions different disadvantages. As a result, when we are successful it feels so sweet to overcome so many obstacles (The finals years). Right now the Nets have a great young core and if we continue to be smart about drafting and developing players, there's no reason we can't be champions in five years. I'm afraid my Nets are turning into the new Knicks. Everything is easy and we just buy our way to success and/or look stupid with all of our money and ongoing failure. I like the way Oklahoma City has built a franchise brick by brick the right way and the hard way. If we strike out with LeBron and Bosh I'm ok. I think we should sign D. Lee. To me he is the best kind of Net (of the past?) player . No silver spoon. No big entourage. Just leave it all on the court. No brite lights (see Jason Kidd, Drazen, Kenyon, Kerry Kittles, Buck Williams, even Vince Carter to a degree). Then I would go after Carmelo next year. Too much success to quickly is too much for my Nets sensibilities to handle as is too much Broadway and Hollywood. Indeed I won't be able to get decent tickets to the team I love for all of the see and be seen crowd jumping onto the LeBron bandwagon. Anyone else feel for the loss of the soul of the franchise? I'm starting to wish Oklahoma was so far away...
