Around SBN: Fighters React to Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Brian Zoubek will be in Otisville, Me. Thursday along with Mia Hamm and five other NBA players, working with 150 kids from the Middle East and Maine.

The program, sponsored by Zoubek's agent, Arn Tellem, "provides an opportunity for teenagers from regions of conflict to learn more about the values of teamwork and cooperation."

Good for Zoubek but...

Him, Mia Hamm, and kids from the Middle East and Maine?! It’s as randomly thrown together as a Family Guy joke.

sowing the seeds of peace

We should all take note and settle our differences on the playing field and not the battlefield.

Peace

I believe that there can be peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The western media only tells one side of the story. The Arab media tells the other side of the story. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I am observant Jew and supporter of Israel. My 23 year old daughter spent the month of June living in the West Bank among the Palestinians, learning about them and interviewing them for her Master’s Thesis. The nearby Jewish settlers threw rocks and water at my daughter and her Palestinian hosts. AND yet, in a summer camp in Maine, there is hope. GO ZOUBEK! GO MIA HAMM!

I like Zoubek

Heard Jordan wanted him on the Bobcats but management wasn’t interested. Heard MJ congratulated Rod on drafting.

Consequences will never be the same.
