New Jersey Nets

The ability to reconfigure Barclays Center for smaller shows, as well as other design features, was a big reason why Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Productions chose to partner with the Nets on a 12-bout boxing promotion beginning in 2012. The deal, rumored for two weeks, was officially announced Wednesday.

The design of the arena works well for boxing, both sides suggested, with numerous configurations to trim the seating capacity to about 4,000 for smaller bouts. The video board hanging over center court will allow for replays and the relatively low level of luxury suites are also a draw.
