Labelling T-Will
Why it's a bad idea to define T-Will by any one position.

Avery hasn't seen him trying to defend 1s
very much then and summer league doesn’t count. He is definitely more capable of guarding 3s. He was among the worst in the league in shooting percentage given up to 1s
As a 1 he shot 39%
and gave up 54%… his second worst pct next to power forward. Also his opposing point guard on a 48 minute basis had an assist to turnover ratio of 4.8 to 1. His numbers versus 3s are similar to that of 2s.
id like to see him in the line up, he is definitely a player you can run your offense through, not a pg but an on ball sg type who the nets surround with shootersand big men, Farmar would make the perfect pg in that system, add the shooting and defense from DJames, and the front court duo of Favors/Lopez and that starting line up will compete, score, and play defense, TWill can be a special type player, he just needs to tweak his attitude a little more positively, i dont think trading him, especially in our conference, would be a smart move
If they keep all of the wings this upcoming year , I’d like to see T.Will as the backup 3 on the second unit with Farmar/Morrow (spot up shooters) , Favors (post/pick and roll guy for T.Will) , and Petro. He’s 220 pounds , tough , athlectic , and a good rebounder for his height so I think he could defend 3’s just fine. That way C.Lee , Morrow , and T.Will can all get their minutes and they all can keep their trade value up at the same time. The odd man out for now would be Damion James. But he’s a rookie , so that’s probably fine at the moment. T.Will had to bide his time last year and learn for example. I doubt they’ll go that direction from Avery’s quote , but I’d like to see it happen that way.
