Dooling an option for backup PG?

I loved Keyon Dooling during the time he was with the Nets and he was essentially just released for cap space purposes this offseason as we tried to clear room for two max free agents. I know he has his injury concerns to some degree, but it would be nice to have his leadership and veteran presence on this team because I felt he did a great job for us and was always a consummate professional regardless of his playing time, the team's success and what role he was asked to play. I know he expressed interest in the two Florida teams, both of whom he has played for, but if his asking price isnt too high I certainly wouldnt be opposed to bringing him back. Anyone agree?

A potential option is:

Patty Mills: Australia’s starting PG; Young, pretty good from behind the arc and has speed to burn as seen in this video vs deron williams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5zfDNT4A8Y

If the nets are aiming for a run and gun offense he would be a pretty good option especially seeing as the team still needs shooters. He probably wouldn’t cost too much in a trade with Portland as well

Vets Minimum Anyone?

I think there will be lots of Vets lining up to play for Pat and take the Vets Minimum, as I think the HEAT are a lock to make it out of the West to the Finals. THE SUPER FRIENDS are going to be an unbeatable dynasty and frankly, they are going to be bad for the league as a whole. The rest of the league’s stars who are 28 and older have only faint hope of ever playing for a championship before they are 34 and mostly washed up. Maybe Durant has a shot, six or seven years from now, but only if the SUPER FRIENDS go their separate ways by then. Kobe and Gasol are the only players whose team is going to give the SFs a run for their money. The rest of the league will measure their success by playoff runs, till then run into Miami. There will be free agent VETS falling all over themselves to play for the HEAT.

Wouldn't mind but...

Apparently we are close to signing Fatmar for a 3 year 12 mil deal
