Favors is a mature, confident guy, and comparing himself to the likes of Garnett and Amare seem reasonable. He knows that he has a lot to prove in the NBA, and since he'll have that chance with the Nets, he'll definitely thrive. I've encountered a good amount of disdain for Favors on here, but I think with his athletic ability and maturity, we can't pass up on him. His passion for the game has been questioned at times, but just look at how happy he is!
Athletic ability can't be taught, it's Godsent. Coupled with a new, proven coach in Avery Johnson and basically an unlimited bankroll, the Nets will have what they need to harness that athletic ability and turn it into real NBA talent. I think most people would agree that we don't need the headache of immaturity on the Nets *coughCousinscough*; we can't afford it when we're looking to win a title in the next five years. If you can't tell already, Favors all the way.
