Brook Lopez Gets Six Votes for All-NBA Team
Let's put it this way...if the NBA had an All-NBA Sixth Team, Brook Lopez would be on it. Here's another way to look at it...only two players younger than Lopez got any votes, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose. But the bottom line is that Lopez received six votes for the All-NBA team. Of course, that's six more than any other Net received and as many as Paul Pierce and Josh Smith tallied. Vince Carter didn't get any.
Not surprisingly, the first team was comprised of LeBron James and Dwight Howard, who both garnered 610 votes; Durant, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade. Dirk Nowitzki led the second team.

I hope he makes a leap next year defensively
His scoring improved by 5.8 ppg but his rebounding only increased by 0.5 rpg while his blocks actually decreased by 0.1 bpg this year.
you'd think that....
…with the way the opposing guards were blowing by Harris and company, Brook’s blocks per game would have at least gone up a bit.

Next year...
…All NBA 3rd team. Book it.

I think it might depend more on our record than anything he does
Barring some gigantic leap for him, I don’t think they’re putting on a guy whose team didn’t make the playoffs. If you notice, everyone the all nba teams were in playoff teams
agreed
But this is the east. All we need is a solid off season and I think that we can at least be an 8th seed next year.
Of course, I fail to remember the last time that the Nets had an offseason that wasn’t marred by fans saying such words as “what the hell are they doing?”, “you can’t be serious”, or “wtf??” after it was all said and done, so i won’t hold my breath.

Really?
Even better for him. I’m sure he’s baked out of his mind right now, in the company of some lovely latinas.
Well, that’s what I’d be doing at least.

Nice recognition for the 2nd best center in the league.
Or is it the East? Not sure what you guys like to call him these days. I like how the article was hush about Andrew Bogut, David Lee, Al Harford and Chris Kaman getting more votes. Hey Atleast Brook beat Bynum, right.
Actually David Lee beat out Boozer.
Lee was an All Star, Boozer wasn’t. Lee now gets more points. Yet the so called experts put Boozer way ahead of Lee as a desirable free agent, even though Lee is younger without history of injuries and has improved every year, whereas Boozer probably peaked.
Go Figure.
I'd take Boozer over Lee as well.
Both got a decent amount of votes if we’re only judging by the all-nba teams.
Then how do you explain why Boozer didn't get more votes than Lee?
And that doesn’t even consider how they would do with teammates, over the next 5 years?
Lee was 18th, Boozer was 19th in the voting
Jeeesh, you’re acting like one got the MVP and the other was sent to the D-League or something.
And not to mention these votes are hardly the most dependable basis for judging
Heck, someone thought Kevin Garnett should be on the all nba team!
Lee was an AS bc
a) Someone else got injured and Stern picked him up.
b) He plays in the East. If he played in the West like Boozer, Lee would have never been an AS. If Boozer played in the East, he would have been an AS without needing anyone’s injury to make the team
Muwu
Did China through him out or did he leave on his own? Is he in P.R. playin or chillin?
