Thinking about the draft, I think the best case scenario for the Nets is if the Sixers pick either Cousins/Favors with the #2 pick. The Nets would pick Turner with the #3 and now have options to either:
a. Keep Turner
b. Trade Tuner + fillers/future draft picks/cash to Minnesota for #4 and Rubio
Both options(if it happens) are a win-win for the Nets.
If we keep Turner, we'll have a franchise perimeter player to partner with Lopez. This will also make Harris more expendable, since Turner/Twill could handle the point duties, allowing the Nets to trade him for an asset or a shooter to complement the team such as Rudy Fernandez from Portland.
I think Rubio really doesn't want to play in Minnesota, so I think the only option they have is to trade him to a team in a major market like LA and NY. They really need/want Turner so I think they can be amenable to the trade above. If the trade does happen we'll have our starting PG in Rubio (pass-first PG who defends) and our starting C/PF in Cousins/Favors (young big men with tremendous potential) to pair with Brook and TWill.
