Former International Scouting Director Dies

Rob Meurs, who served as the Nets international scouting director for five years, died in a motorcycle accident near Trier, Germany, Sunday, the team announced. He was 55. "Rob was a great asset during his tenure here with the Nets, a very hard worker, who had a real passion for the game of basketball," said Greg Polinsky, the Nets’ director of player personnel. Among the players Meurs recommended during his time with the Warriors, Spurs and Nets were: Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Nenad Krstic.
