Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

Where Was Jay-Z Wednesday?

Jay-Z has not been at many, if any, Nets games this season, even Wednesday's game vs. the Cavaliers featuring his good buddy LeBron James.  While no one is saying why hasn't showed this season, he had a good excuse on Wednesday.  He and Beyonce Knowles took time out from his Blueprint 3 Tour to tour the White House and meet with President Obama and the First Lady.  He, his wife, his mother-in-law and Trey Songz even got a photo op in a West Wing conference room, where the Nets' minority investor sat at the head of the table.  As he told "Interview" magazine last month, "For me, being with [President] Obama or having dinner with Bill Clinton… It’s crazy."

Hmmm...

….lets weigh his options

a)watch his team, which he owns probably less than 1% of now, get their faces curbstomped by his protege

or

b)chill with Beyonce in the White House, hanging out with Barack Obama.

yeah.

"No one stands on the top of the world. Not you, not me, not even gods. But the unbearable vacancy of the throne in the sky is over. From now on...I will be sitting on it."

He has no importance

Pleas keep in mind that Jay-Z barley owns 1% of the team. When the stockholders will have their votes, his will mean next to nothing because of how much he owns. Basically his holdings is more like the vice president over the US Senate, so the only time his vote will be important is if the other stockholders become deadlocked and tied and his can break the tie. Honestly, he won’t be missed whenever the Nets stockholders have their convention because they know has a small share in them and will be outvoted anyway.
