A Taxing Time For Nets Fans

It's hard to keep track of all the Nets promotions. Reversible Jerseys, Rent-a-Net, Wounded Net Night, Coach for a Day. Where does it end? Not here, not now. The latest? If you come to the Magic game Friday, you will get a coupon for a free state tax consultation with Roni Deutch. As the Star-Ledger notes, it's a great combination of two "cringe-worthy" past times: watching the Nets and doing your taxes.
- Addition by deduction: Nets add tax preparer as sponsor - Terry Lefton - Sports Business Journal
- Nets Will Offer Free Tax Preparation as a Game Promotion - Ken Belson - New York Times
- The Nets will do anything for you to come to their games - Trey Kerby - Yahoo! Sports
- Instead of wins, Nets offer fans windfall returns - Tom Canavan - AP
- Come to a Nets game, get your taxes done free - Mike Prada - SB Nation
- NETS Basketball Offers Free NJ State Tax Returns for Fans - New Jersey Nets
- Come see the Nets, we'll do your taxes - Kurt Helin - NBC Sports
- Net loss can be your gain - Al Iannazzone - In the 'Zzone

The Nets will do anything for you to come to their games … anything except win games.

I cringe when i see this kind of stuff. Knowing the Knicks can suck forever and they still sell out on a regular basis, while we bank on good teams coming to play us so people will come watch the games. I hope the residents of BK will fill the Barclay’s center.

The Knicks just have history. They’re a classic NBA franchise team and good or bad, they’ll have their fans.
The Nets have always seemed to be the 2nd team in the area, so they have to work for their fans. The sad thing isn’t that both teams can suck and the Knicks can still outsell the Nets. I think the sad thing is the Nets could be good and the Knicks could be bad and the Knicks still have a good shot at out selling the Nets
Perhaps the next time the Nets start playing well again, the brass should work to build that foundation instead of marketing to the Chinese.

What happened to that coach a team for a game contest. I really want to win that because I have a lot on my mind.
