Devin Harris: Wall "Still Learning How To Be a Point Guard"

Devin Harris has seen John Wall play a bit--"they've been on a lot".  He calls the Kentucky guard a "very talented player" who he'd welcome on the Nets, then adds in a serious tone,  "he's still learning how to be a point guard."  In the same HoopsWorld interview, Harris reiterates his love for his old coach, Avery Johnson.  "I love Avery," said Harris, his face brightening at the prospect of him as Nets coach. "Always have. If we can reunite, that'd be great, be glad to have him."

Harris also said he likes what he sees out of "our core group", now that everyone is healthy, citing Brook Lopez and Courtney Lee in particular.  "But this is a season we'll never forget."

Last I checked, Devin still didn’t know how to be a point guard…

Exactly bro. What the hell is Harris talking about

"No one stands on the top of the world. Not you, not me, not even gods. But the unbearable vacancy of the throne in the sky is over. From now on...I will be sitting on it."

Perfection at this level is not reachable. There Is no doubt that Devin is a PG. Is he perfect? No, but hes damn good.

Devin...

He is a scoring pg not a natural. Wall can be a scorer but should continue expanding his court vision.

@J-Kay

You took the words right out of my finger tips.

The Avery Johnson response was much more significant. I only read his comments previously.

After hearing Devin respond, he probably wasn’t as thrilled with Avery as I thought – More like he felt nervous if AJ would become his coach again. That would be good fro Devin, to have to prove himself to his old coach. Just as long as he didn’t ask to be traded, Avery would be perfect for the Nets and Devin.
