Lee Won't Play vs. Wizards

He hurt his ankle, then made two free throws before heading to the locker room, but Courtney Lee won't play Sunday vs. the Wizards. Lee said after the Celtic win that his ankle was stiff because he was icing it but it worsened. No word on whether he'll play Wednesday vs. Cleveland. Kiki Vandeweghe said he hoped "this is a minor tweak" and Lee "could be back in a game or two." Chris Douglas-Roberts will start in his place.

Hopefully CDR takes full advantage of this. I am expecting a HUGE game out of him.

Pyscho, I’m think the exact same thing. CDR needs to prove himself to Kiki (who may be too blind writing KV and YJ in hearts in his notebook). The team is coming of a huge win in Boston so they’ll be fired up. It’s CDR’s time to shine.

I hope he plays well to, hopefully he gets plays ran for him or given iso situations, Kiki doesn’t tell him to hit Yi in the post.

Mr softee Kiki wont let CDR prove himself to him. Cdr has too much heart for a team coached by Kiki, apparently

CDR?
How about T.Will?
Both seem to be in the doghouse and both deserve big minutes, but I simply expect more minutes for Dooling, Hassel and Hayes. Then again, we do need Lee’s shooting replaced and neither CDR or T.Will are shooters.

CDR is playing as a role player right now and nothing more. hes barely touching the ball but is still being an impact player by moving the ball and playing D. hopefully kiki sees this and makes him a significant part of the offense again,

No touches for CDR. 2 guard in name only. Offense doesn’t include CDR at all. No ISOs – no plays run for him. Thought this would be an opportunity with Lee out, but we should have known. Incredible that people will probably accuse CDR of not playing well.

^ agreed. i dont know why people keep hating on CDR. ppl need to open up their eyes and see the real issue. Coaching.

Nets really miss Lee tonight. Hopefully next year they’ll have some decent wings to help him out.

The coaching staff needs to establish a role for the kid. He’s not out there taking bad shots or trying to disrupt the flow of the offense but he looks lost. I think they need to run plays for him when he’s in to score and attack the basket. When that was being done for him early on in the season he was fine, because Frank had given him a clear cut role.

TRADE YI!!
He honestly is the weakest link on a terrible team, which says a lot about him
TRADE HIM for anything, I’ll take back anything at this point
by Doron on Feb 28, 2010 8:33 PM EST reply actions
@ Mr. Dollar Bills – I STILL think we would be better off trading him.

30 wasted minutes on CDR. If those minutes go to anyone else the Nets win tonight. Seriously could a D-league player do any worse?
Can’t wait to to read Twitter and see which teammate he throws under the bus this time.

"tweet"dr already proved himself. He can,t play at this level.Maybe Swat can get him an interview. He,d be a good backup in China!
