Reunited to Bring Back Some Magic

Vince Carter had no comment when Lawrence Frank was fired, surprising because of how the they'd been, at least publicly, a mutual admiration society in New Jersey. Now, Frank may be giving VC some pointers about getting out of a month long shooting slump. The former Nets coach showed up in Orlando to "observe" Stan Van Gundy's practices. SVG says he invited Frank "months ago".

Good for VC and it was nice to have a Frank sighting.
However, we may as well keep up on Kidd and RJ now right?

Hey, maybe we should bring Frank back to the Nets. At this point, anything will help.

Yeah, bring back Frank, VC, Kidd and Jefferson. We would make the playoffs and get eliminated in the 1st round. Been there, done that… No thanks…

It’s like a reocurring nightmare……Does this guy ever go away…….We are suffering this year from the backlash of his past 5 years here….Does he have to keep showing up here…What he and VC do in Orlando have nothing to do with this team now….And now I have no respect for Stan van gundy either….He needs to bring this loser in to help him…..Sorry to be so harsh but I love the Nets and he has ruined them and does not need to be mentioned anymore….We will soon be the New Nets……

at Mike:
“We would make the playoffs and get eliminated in the 1st round.”
Actually they made the Conference Semis TWICE with that core, which is more than we can say for EVERY Nets team with the exception of ‘83-84 prior to Kidd’s arrival. If not for Vince’s amazing ability to shrink under pressure, we might have even gotten back to the Conference Finals in one of those two seasons.
If Kidd and RJ were paired with Lopez (and yes I realize that scenario was not guaranteed to happen) they would be contending for a playoff spot right now instead of being on pace to the set the all-time record for worst mark in league history.
