Game 54 - Nets vs. Heat - Wednesday, February 17, 7:30

The Nets will try again to start their first winning streak of the season against the Heat--and try to impress Dwyane Wade, the free agent who has had the nicest things to say about them. The Heat continue to have an up-and-down season, as shown by their 27-27 record and the continuing trade rumors emanating from Miami. The Heat blew out the 76ers by 27 on Tuesday, led by Wade's 24, 6 and 6.

simple formual-start hassell and put him on wade. from there, the heat will not be able to effectively run their offense. shots will not fall for wade and company and the nerts will take advantage with easy transition buckets.
my prediction? a 104-97 game. either we lose like that or we win like that

stay close until the 4th, wade takes over and we lose by double digits. same old, same old.

this gonna be a big test for lee he needs to hold wade down

by Spider Man on Feb 16, 2010 10:37 PM EST reply actions

We owe Dwade some revenge for hittin that 3 which helped us become record setters. I am tired of my knick friends rooting for us to lose and set a record when they win 30 games a year and never do anything. Lets go nets baby.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to post. Wade OWNS us in the 4th every single time we play them.

Hopefully we can show Dwade how much talent they have.

I think they can win this one.

lol show wade how much talent there is with a 5 win record!!!! lol!! lets go heat!

by adrian on Feb 17, 2010 4:29 PM EST reply actions

why don’t the Nets do yi a favor and trade him…since think he yi sux….he dont post anymore and all jumpshots…I guess yi gave brook the floor space he need…

looks like yi is not happy..something bothering him…

by Akara on Feb 17, 2010 5:03 PM EST reply actions

@Jerry25 be the happiest Nets fan…..how can u hope for a player to get injured, so yi cant start…its not yi fault yi start……what kind of person are u..

I do would like to see humphries and boone….lets see how they do against other team starter….

by Akara on Feb 17, 2010 5:08 PM EST reply actions

Please stop the insanity and move Yi out of the starting lineup…
D’oh! He’s starting again!
I hope whoever subs for him starts off hot.
Yi should come off the bench.

by NetsJetsFan on Feb 17, 2010 7:42 PM EST reply actions

They are getting beaten big time by Wade and Beasley. We’ll be beat hard against Toronto. Maybe we can squeeze a miracle win against Memphis.

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 7:55 PM EST reply actions

Devin is looking like a NEW Devin! He is back!

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 8:04 PM EST reply actions

Dwayne Wade is NOT returning, yet we are having one of those games where we cannot hit an open jumpshot to save our lives.

Another 37% FG effort = Big “L” when we had a decent opportunity for a “W”

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 8:25 PM EST reply actions

Yi sucks! Keep Humphries in there. Why did Kiki leave Brook out for so long when O’Neal was out? Brook should have been playing against the smaller lineup.

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 8:43 PM EST reply actions

Perfect opportunity for our sixth win! Play with urgency!

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 8:44 PM EST reply actions

I might start calling Yi just Y.
As in…
Y is he starting?! Y does he bobble so many entry passes? Y is he so soft on the boards? Y can’t he keep anybody in from of him on D?

by NetsJetsFan on Feb 17, 2010 8:54 PM EST reply actions

Lopez should get the ball in the post EVERY TIME. EVERY. TIME. Courtney Lee just shot ANOTHER brick!!!Hayes and Yi are stinkin it up! Harris is having an excellent game, but he needs to start nailing some open threes! Lets try to get a “W” plzzzz!!!1

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 9:11 PM EST reply actions

nvm. we lost.

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 9:16 PM EST reply actions

YI SUCKKKKKKKSSSSSSS! Why did he put him back in the game. Beasley is schooling him! Get Humphries on the floor or we will lose!

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 9:48 PM EST reply actions

CMonnnn we can win this. give it to lopez and work through him. hayes and lee should not be on the floor and neither should yi. Twill, dooling, and hump should be playing to control this game. lets just hope we can put together a win and a winning streak

by i on Feb 17, 2010 9:49 PM EST reply actions

We should have kept the hot lineup on the floor. Terrence and Keyon should be on the floor.

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 9:55 PM EST reply actions

HOW DID WE LOSE WOW THIS TEAM SUCKS

Next win: Late march

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 10:04 PM EST reply actions

HORRIBLE COACHING! Blew a perfect opportunity! This one hurts more than any this season. Pathetic!

by JustinNJ on Feb 17, 2010 10:04 PM EST reply actions

embarassing.

by far the worst loss of the season

Not only is it a terrible loss, but it instills in me the fact that this still is a record-breaking team and that we probably wont win number six for a very, very long time. what did i say 8:25 PM. perfect opportunity to win, we cant make shots, we shoot 36%. How hard is it to hit an open jumpshot. Damn! why do we even bother? this is beyond terrible

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 10:07 PM EST reply actions

Yi’s airball wide open from 18 feet? WOW. I really hope he tears his hamstring – something – lets just hope its career ending.

by Jim on Feb 17, 2010 10:08 PM EST reply actions

I would not care if the Nets just trade Yi for anything at this point. Big whoop 9 points and 9 rebounds…..NO DEFENSE, horrible around the rim. We should keep Terrence on the floor he is a game changer.
