Iannazzone: Wall Key to Moving Nets Forward

The Nets should soon have a new owner, agreements to play in two of the newest arenas in the NBA and more cap space than any other NBA team. All that aside, the one thing that could move them forward more quickly than anything else is winning the NBA Draft Lottery on May 18. The addition of a transformative player like John Wall could help attract a new coach and the free agents the Nets want.

Sad that our best chance is totally up to luck! 25% is not worth all this losing. 75% chance of not getting Wall is pretty devestating. Do the T-Wolves have only a slightly lower chance?

He is our only hope if we don’t get LeBron.

I still think Turner would be a good addition if they don’t get Wall. I’d like to see a PG that likes to pass (and not just pound the dribble) as that gets the entire team enthused to play. Harris pounds the dribble and plays one on five too much.

Yes the wolves chance is like 19% ours is 25

by Rique on Feb 14, 2010 11:31 AM EST reply actions

and thus Nets have a 44% of getting either Wall or Turner.

Wall is overhyped IMO, don’t sleep on turner.

I love Evan Turner!

by Andres on Feb 14, 2010 11:55 AM EST reply actions

believe it or not. turner is a walking triple double. he is good in every aspect of the game. wall is too turnover prone. wall is the best player out in the draft but he can’t make an impact on a team like turner can. wall is number1 due to his youth and explosiveness and the impact he can have on the offensive end of the court, however turner does it all.
u really can’t b mad at either pick.

I’d rather have Evan Turner, but Wall would make an awesome consolation prize ;-)

The highest I’ll get my hopes up for is the 2nd pick and Evan Turner…that way if they get the 1st pick it’ll be sweeter.
MDB how did you use a smiley?

If we get Wall next draft and follow up with a good vereran PF then we will be okay. Maybe 2011 we can get Anthony, that will makes us set.
Wall makes a lot of basketball sense.

Evan Turner came within two assists of a triple double today with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. he also had 1 steal.

Kid is a beast. I’ll be pushin for Turner until the draft.

by NJQuestCat on Feb 14, 2010 6:31 PM EST reply actions

Is it at all possible to make a push for both Wall and Turner ?
