Nets Party to Sell Brooklyn Suites

The Nets planned a party Thursday - now postponed until Feb. 24 - for prospects interested in buying luxury suites at Barclays Center. To be held at the Barclays Center Showroom in the New York Times Building, the "Private Suite Sales Event" will be hosted by Bruce Ratner and Brett Yormark. Meanwhile, a Forest City exec promises: "The wait is over. We are building Atlantic Yards."

“will feature Ratner and Yormark” so this event is not meant for Nets fans, it seems.

@JohnY
Has anything Ratner done was for Nets fans?

Not to be that guy (although I love sticking it to Ratner) but there are ZERO minorities represented in the pictures of those supposed Nets fans in the luxury suites. Just sayin.

Hey does netsdaily want to pitch in and get one? Maybe between 500 of us we can get a suite next to Jay Z.

Just another move to make it a playground for the rich while us regular fans get left in the dark.

Wow – this sounds like a great opportunity to tell Ratner and Yormark what we think of them! Almost too good to pass up.

From a May, 2008 Crain’s article:
Already, 20% of the 130 luxury boxes have been sold to "friends and family," says Nets Sports Entertainment CEO Brett Yormark. (http://www.nolandgrab.org/archives/2008/05/nets_hold_court.html)
Should I be surprised that any suites are left to sell two years later?

I recall hearing that in spite of the economy, the only person or corporation to back out of buying a CitiField suite after committing was Mike Francesa.

@ NI
Mike Francesa is the last person I think that would buy a suite at citiField, being the die hard yankee fan that he is

How about a party for the cheap seats? I like parties.

There is no point in me going to this because I won’t be able to afford these suites on my income.
