Because the knee-jerk reactions can be both comical and downright infuriating at times... Keep in mind that the New Jersey Nets have played a total of 22 games so far. Of those 22 games 13 have come against over .500 teams while 9 have come against below .500 teams. The Nets record against:
Over .500 teams: 2-11
Sub .500 teams: 4-5
In comparison the New York Knicks have played a whooping 18 games against sub .500 teams and only 5 games against over .500 teams.
The schedule will get easier, the Nets will be better than last year, and the young players will develop.
As a rebuilding team what more can you ask for?
