Hey fellow Nets fans,

This headline is probably a little misleading, because you might think I'm about to start calling out an S.O.S. I'm not necessarily going there, instead, I'm asking a question.

This team has a ton of problems. I could point out all of them but you've heard them all before, Outlaw/Morrow's low b-ball IQ, Lopez' terrible work ethic, Harris' hesitance to attack, Petro's shot-chucking, Avery's rotations and offensive sets, Favors' rawness.

Instead, I want to ask a question. Why did this team lose 12 games last year? All last year, we made excuse after excuse, and they all seemed really valid. Fewer coaches than any team in the league, fewer fans, worse players, injuries, you name it, it seemed like there was an excuse to make the future of a 12 win team seem a little brighter.

The fact is, last year, the team quit on a guy everyone agreed was a good coach, and some of us saw how bitter Lawrence Frank was about the whole thing when he was on NBA TV. I'm just wondering, with all the problems this team has, is the real problem that its stars, Brook Lopez and Devin Harris, just don't care enough?
