I'm completely pissed at Avery. He is the worst coach at rotations I've seen in a LONG time. Not because he makes the substitutions he does, but he's completely inconsistent with it.He plays guys like Graham for 24 minutes one night, then give him 2 the next. Gives DJ 17 minutes one night, then 4 the next. He puts in odd sets out of nowhere, like that Murphy, Favors, Petro situation last night.
He is mad because this team is inconsistent, but how the hell do you develop any consistency when guys are never playing regular minutes with one another???
Have players not executed? Yes, but Avery deserves a large amount of blame. He makes weird substitutions and "giveth and taketh away" minutes willy nilly from one game to the next. It's flat out retarded. He should have all the evaluation he needs. The more he toys with rotations, the more it will hold this team back from ever developing chemistry and continuity.
I work in advertising and we have teams on certain client accounts that consist of people from different departments and disciplines. We work together on everything. What Avery has done is equivalent to us bringing in new team members from different clients to work on projects, which would require use to reteach the brand to these new team players every time there's a new assignment. Would that make any sense?
