Yormark Says Barclays Done "Well Before" NBA Opening Night 2012

Brett Yormark tells Seth Everett Barclays Center will be ready "well before" Opening Night in 2012.  In an interview broadcast at halftime of the Nets-Knicks game, Yormark said construction is "on time" with the arena's steel frame now rising in Brooklyn.  It's expected to be ready in late spring, early summer.

Meanwhile, there's new time-lapse video of Barclays Center construction showing the steel frame erected on one side of the arena site while excavation continues on the other side and a series of photographs taken at street side.  Also, last week, Brooklyn Boro President Marty Markowitz told Brooklyn children they will witness the "Brooklyn Nets will destroy the NBA and become the NBA champs in the future.  How lucky you are."
