Morrow Out 2-3 Weeks with Hamstring Strain
It could have been worse. The Nets feared that Anthony Morrow had torn his hamstring which might have required surgery and long layoff. Instead an MRI showed the Nets starting shooting guard only strained it. Still that will keep him out 2-3 weeks.
In his place, Jordan Farmar will start next to Devin Harris, meaning that both newly acquired Sasha Vujacic and rookie Ben Uzoh will see more minutes, starting Thursday against Washington. John Wall, the Wizards' electric rookie point guard, may also sit.
Meanwhile, Fred Kerber suggests the acquisition of draft picks wasn't the original intent of trade talks..."getting rid of Williams apparently was."

We can just fill our bench with cards that say Reserved...
Seat 1 – 2012 Draft – Reserved..Seat 2 – 2011 Draft…etc..

seems that way
it’s the same thing with all those speedy guards who go to the hole…they get hammered.
Who has ESPN INSIDER?
I want to know what hollinger wrote as part of his Diem for the three way trade….
He still thinks Knicks have better shot at landing Melo (citing Sheridan) primarily.
However, he (like others have) conclude that Knicks don’t need Melo that badly, and if they lost 2 or 3 players like Landry Fields and Gallo, they would still have to look elsewhere to get better. He says Melo would hurt the Knicks efficiency, except for offensive rebounding.
Meanwhile he says the Nets have nothing to lose.
He doesn’t expect Nets to “rent” Melo.
He also says Murphy is useful with every coach except Avery Johnson. I hope Nuggets feel that way too.
What he fails to say is that Nets have by far the best offer available (now that Favors is looking good) or that Melo has indicated that he values the money, ASAP.
I hope Morrow gets better
He’s funny. He looks really innocent. On TV, I’ve seen them do a close-up on him, and he all of a sudden lets out an F bomb on live TV. Pretty funny.

LOL
you gotta love random cussing during pro sports games. I honestly hear about 3-4 F bombs, N-bombs, and S-bombs per game.
One of the best cases of in game swearing was during a Colts game on NBC this year, the stadium was quiet as hell for Peyton to do his thing at the line of scrimmage and as soon as the ball snapped the blitz came like a pack of wild dogs, tearing holes into his offensive line. Peyton had to let out one of the loudest “Oh Goddamn!!!!”‘s I’ve ever heard on TV. My friends and I were cracking up

Yeah Avery broke James foot by playing him
And Morrow’s by playing him.
People here apparently would’ve liked if Damion James never played, that way he never got injured.
Section 18, Row 7 at The Rock!
Maybe if he had played James early in the season instead of Graham, James could have built up calluses on his tarsals. Maybe if Avery hadn’t told his team to get hyped during warm-ups then Morrow’s hammy would be okay.

ruined it from what?
the team with hassel, hayes and yi?
I mean I think trading T-will with D-james already out for months is beyond stupid but other than that what’s worse? Obviously outlaw sucks but not really anymore than Hayes/Hassel, Petro isn’t really worse than Yi, I LOVE Uzoh and Farmar, and can’t see how anyone could argue they’re not better than quinn and dooling in terms of performance and upside. Ross sucks but once again, not worse than Hayes and Hassel and if not for the injuries he’d be on the end of the bench.
Basically I don’t see how Harris, Farmar, Hump, Brook, Favors, Uzoh, Morrow, D-james and even Petro & Outlaw are worse than last year?
I feel bad for my little brother. He walked in and saw that the score of the Nugs-Magic game was 88-89 and thought it was high scoring.

Yes the injuries are his fault. Yes, he turned Brook into Brooke. Yes he deserves to die and I HOPE HE BURNS IN HELL!

I thought Avery Johnson was the coaching equivalent of Samuel L Jackson
apparently not.
Outlaw is the new Yi - just with more money and longer contract without the 7.2 rebounds and occasional shooting streak.

Proky wants Nets to resemble the Lakers. But what steps have Nets taken towards achieving it?
Brook, stop with the Mickey Mouse rebounding

Nothing has gone our way
draft position
free agency
players not performing to expectations
injuries
something has got to give here
Melo's going our way.
He’ll just be on his way across the river and to the Knicks.
you're damn right something has to give
next comes contraction from the league entirely

this is bad news
but i swear, if the wiz don’t have Wall and we STILL give them their first road win, I will be very disappoint. i know the games aren’t nearly as important as what’s happening in the front office right now, but I want a win so bad.
We need Iguodala bad!!
Nets should stop wasting time and go after Andre. He will make the team a ton better. Iggy can run the team when we get stuck in a half court situation.
I think Iggy can be had for a 1st round pick(not ours) and Try Murhpy. Getting him and Keeping Favors along with drafting a player like Kyrie Irving or Harrison Barnes would be hugh. Iggy can be like michael Finley was to the Mavs; borderline star that help the franchise get going.
Imagine,
Lopez Lopez
Favors Favors
Iguodala or Iguadala
Vujacic Vujacic
Harris Irving
Damn
We would have 2 lopez’s, 2 favors’, 2 igoudala’s and 2 vujacics?
sasha vujacic is KING.

iggy isn't happening until they are completely out of the Melo race
I love the Nets...too bad they don't love me...
Honestly I would just scrap the Melo deal
Keep Favors, and trade murphy and a couple picks for a scoring wing (Mayo, Igoudala or someone like that)
sasha vujacic is KING.
this team must keep favors

He shot about 2 airballs and got the ball stuck on the side of the rim on one shot, horrible at times.
Jamal Crawford?

The funny thing here is
Weeks ago the starting lineup should have been
Farmar, Harris, Outlaw, Favors, Lopez since Morrow and Outlaw wasnt working out.
Now Avery has to put this squad minus favors. In a week, Favors will be starting.

From ESPN's Laker Blog re Sasha and Jordan
The only downside? Reuniting with Jordan Farmar for another go as the NBA’s least cooperative backcourt. It was something of open secret these two didn’t particularly enjoy playing together, and I couldn’t help but find twisted amusement in them two side-by-side once again. I’m only half-kidding in predicting an ESPNNewYork headline reading “Nets backup demands trade, bottle of Jack Daniels” in the very near future.

wondering if the nets would be willing
to trade me to the lakers for picks
Give Favors the ball more in the post
Some of Favors seals on people are ridiculous their back foot is practically out of bounds but he never receives the ball.
The Nets don’t want to develop him because of some twisted, convoluted, sadistic reason that came from Avery of course. Something is going on with Favors, he doesn’t play enough and he doesn’t get the ball enough.
It’s a CONSPIRACY!!

Phew, with Damion James AND Morrow down...
