One benefit of the Nets' move from the Izod to the Prudential Center comes today as the Nets gather for Thanksgiving dinner in New Jersey.  For 24 straight Thanksgivings, the team were on the road. The Meadowlands arena, call it Brendan Byrne, Continental Airlines or Izod, was home this week to an ice show.

So, for Nets' "lifers", like Gary Sussman, Tom Barrise and Rich Dalatri, Thanksgiving normally meant a team dinner in a hotel or in recent years, if they were lucky, in a player or former players' home.  This year, it's home for the holidays.  The team also got an opportunity to share the spirit, spending a day this week distributing Thanksgiving dinners to 200 of Newark's neediest.
