Nets, Devils Spend $500K To Upgrade Pru
Sports Business Journal reports that the Devils are upgrading the Prudential Center with the aim of giving the Newark arena a more Net-centric feel for NBA games.
Most notable is the development of a new premium club reserved for the Nets’ 250 courtside-seat holders, being built in an arena storage space. There's a new court, new signage and a new NBA-regulation locker room.
The improvements cost $500,000, part of which the Nets paid.

I guess no construction has been started on a club reserved for Carmelo’s entourage.

Well Denver only comes here once a season...
Not often enough to build a suite for the visitor’s entourage.

I was under the impression....
That the Prudential Center was in the red and will be for a little bit of time now…wondering how they can afford this kind of stuff.

Would make sense if..........
The Nets end up staying here. Seriously, it won’t make sense to make the Prudential Center for the Nets if they are just going to end up being somewhere else about two years later such as Brooklyn. I am sure that many loyal fans will agree with me on this. There really is no point in doing this if many know that they are not staying there for long, plus it will be a waste of money.
They needed a locker room
They also needed a court that wasn’t a college court. Teams also do what they can to take care of the big money spenders.
All of these are reasonable expenditures for two seasons worth of home games. The arena will still be able to utilize the locker room and special club long after the Nets are gone.
Please Prokhorov never again listen to the fools that told you it was a good idea to retain Rod Thorn
