The Nets' social networking visibility has dramatically increased over the last several years with a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and MySpace. Their traffic on Facebook is up 350% and Ben Couch's offerings on NetsBasketball are now followed by 23,000 tweeps. That's up 300%. Fast Company Magazine thinks the Nets are in the top five of NBA teams. What drives traffic most? "When mysterious billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov, aka the 'Russian Mark Cuban,' posts a video".
However, with only seven players --Terrence Williams, Anthony Morrow, Devin Harris, Kris Humphries, Travis Outlaw, Joe Smith and the leader, Johan Petro-- tweeting, the Nets have fallen behind the Knicks, who boast one of the biggest Twitter communities among NBA teams with 11 players tweeting. The Thunder and Bucks also have 11.
