He  was born on October 22, 1964.  Petro as we all know, died at age 28 after a horrific car accident in Germany.  After a glorious career in Europe, he decided to test himself and come to the NBA.  He began his career in Portland but it wasn't until he was traded to New Jersey in 1991 that he became one of the best shooting guards in the league. Petrovic, Kenny Anderson and Derrick Coleman looked destined to make the Nets a success but as fate has it, it never happened. Today on his birthday,  I would like for all Nets fans to take a second and remember him.
