Sometimes I have a really hard time listening to big time fans. I too consider myself a big time fan, but I see myself as a realistic person. One of the most important factors in being a realist is patience & that seems to be something that hardcore fans have none of & it's frustrating.
It's really hard for me to read about so called fans loving Favors after a game, then bashing him after a few bad ones, then loving him again after a good game, etc. Then we have people asking if we should've drafted him & the season didn't even start yet! Enough is enough! What would've happened if we graded T-Will this early last year? Many of you guys would've had him cut by the time he figured the NBA game out towards the end of last season.
As a person who understands team basketball, I can tell you that the Nets most likely will need 20 games or more to even gel completely as a team. How many new guys are on the team this year? When they gel, you will see them get better defensively. Do I want it to take that long as a fan? No, but I also have common sense. Common sense enough to know that Favors is a terrific young talent that still needs lots of coaching. Common sense enough to know that T-Will has extreme talent that he needs to couple with better decision making. Common sense enough to know that Avery Johnson is a far better coach than people leaving comments about what he should've done or who he should've played.
I just can't figure out why we need to find a new person to either love or bash after every game as if their career is defined with each box score. How many people wanna run Outlaw out of town w/o him ever playing a game that counts for anything? How many people think Morrow isn't shooting how we paid him to shoot? How many people are grading the Nets while forgetting they are playing w/o their starting PF?
Now put your hands down & RELAX PEOPLE!!!
