Before his NBA background check, Mikhail Prokhorov cleared up some loose ends. A month ago, he reported French authorities had apologized for his 2007 detention on suspicion of prostitution. He didn't say who or give details of the apology. The London Times says it was arranged by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin! As a thank you, Prokhorov invited Putin and entourage to his $30 million French chalet Saturday.
