It's Dooling and Lee vs. Wizards

Devin Harris' wrist is improved, but not enough for him to take the court Friday vs. the Wizards. So Keyon Dooling will try to match his game vs. the Clippers. Courtney Lee will be back after the removal of a wisdom tooth. Meanwhile, Terrence Williams is upbeat and the Nets are very happy with Kris Humphries. While he's averaging 14 and 7 in New Jersey, Eduardo Najera has yet to play in Dallas.

hassell should start. his defense is superb and stresses to guard you man early on. If u wanna start lee repalce him with CDR no Lee. one of these two guys has to off the bench for a better offense and mroe defense.

Coming off the bench in the Nets rotation is about the same as being a starter. If you produce, most likely you will get 25-30 minutes or more. Competition for minutes should be a good thing.

Lets go Nets.

Take a deep breath…do you smell it ?? Smells like a winning streak tonight…yes yesss !

If the Nets really win they should think about starting Dooling over Harris in a regular base.

So excited…Go Nets !!!

expect a big game from our guards n twill. washington is down on guards.

Bring Lee off of the bench but if CDR wants to continue to prove his point, bench him quickly and go with Williams.

What has Lee done to deseve to keep his starting job?

by Tom F on Jan 29, 2010 3:58 PM EST reply actions

Absolutely nothing, but I hope we win.

Quoting Al Iannazzone;

“It’s doubtful he will every supplant Yi Jianlian as the starter. But Humphries is better coming off the bench and providing energy, a spark”.

I’m a big Yi supporter but if Yi doesn’t pick up his game soon, Humphries should be given the opportunity to start.

Nobody should be given a starting job just for showing up.

Same thing goes for Courtney Lee. These young players have to learn that they have to play at a high level to keep a starting job. If they don’t they can be replaced. Works wonders when you know your job is on the line…

JohnY, I don’t know man. I’m afraid to make predictions nowadays… I mean, of course I hope I do, but I don’t want to see another 25-point loss.

The only Nets who should be considered “safe” in the starting line-up, Lopez and Harris, for different reasons.

We have to get Harris going. Benching him now would be counter productive at this point. If he starts to play better great but if we decide to move him down the road, it’s better that he is known as a starter in the league, then a sub.

Lopez starts as long as he can walk…

by Mike on Jan 29, 2010 4:12 PM EST reply actions

As for tonight, I’m expecting a win. But if we play hard and lose, so be it. But if lose and play without spirit and hustle, starting jobs should be in jeopardy.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Lets go Nets….

No surprise Wimpy is still out. I think Yi needs to be benched so he can see what’s expected of him at the PF position. He’s not getting it done right now. Let Lee come of the bench for a few games. What’s up with CDR? Two nice drives in the beginning of the game and that was it.

by Barry from Brooklyn on Jan 29, 2010 4:35 PM EST reply actions

Lee sucks, and he has been allowed to suck because the former and the current coach both did not punish his playing time for playing poorly. That’s no way to treat a sophomore.

by biggie on Jan 29, 2010 4:45 PM EST reply actions

Cdr is not a small forward. Plus he is not a starter in this league. The guy should be a go to scorer off the bench

by ben on Jan 29, 2010 4:48 PM EST reply actions

I would do the starting lineup as follows:

Point Guard – Keyon Dooling/Chris Quinn (whoever is playing better)
Shooting Guard – Devin Harris on offense, Terrence Williams on defense
Small Forward – Terrence Williams on offense, Trenton Hassell on defense
Power Forward – Kris Humphries
Center – Brook Lopez

Lopez for MVP or MIP

C.Lee is garbage
