Nets Agents
Here's a list of who's representing who on the Nets this season, broken down by agency, according to Hoopshype's agent lists. If it needs updating, you can be sure we will hear from the agents.
Jeff Schwartz and Sam Goldfeder, Excel Sports Management
--Deron Williams, Johan Petro.
Notes: Williams dumped Bob McClaren, his long-time agent, in May. Williams was only NBA client. He runs a small firm out of Houston. In July, Williams signed with Schwartz who represents the two point guards who preceded him in New Jersey, Jason Kidd and Devin Harris. Schwartz also reps Paul Pierce, Blake Griffin, Tyson Chandler and Lamar Odom. Goldfeder has clients from France (Petro), Italy (Marco Belinelli), Brazil (Leandro Barbosa) and Cameroon (Luc Mbah a Moute).
Arn Tellem, Wasserman Media Group.
--Jordan Farmar, Brook Lopez, Shelden Williams.
Notes: Bob Myers was Brook and Robin's agent but recently joined the Warriors' front office. Wasserman is the biggest NBA agency. The agency also represents the Collins twins.
Marc Cornstein, Pinnacle Hoops.
--Kris Humphries, Bojan Bogdanovic.
Notes: Cornstein had previously represented Nenad Krstic, Zoran Planinic, Mile Ilic and Boki Nachbar when they played for the Nets. Humphries switched from Dan Fegan to Cornstein around the same time he got engaged to Kim Kardashian. Humphries' personal manager and long-time friend, preceded him at Pinnacle. Bogdanovic joins a long line of players from the former Yugoslavia who have trusted Cornstein.
Mark Fleisher - Entersport
Notes: Fleisher represents a large European client base, among them Andrei Kirilenko.
Happy Walters, Rogue Sports
Notes: Walters also reps one of Williams best friends, Amare Stoudemire.
Wallace Prather, Perennial Sports and Entertainment
--Anthony Morrow
Notes: Morrow represents a third of Prather's NBA client list. Derrick Favors and Josh Smith are his other two clients. Prather's late father discovered Favors as a seventh-grader on an Atlanta playground. Favors, Morrow and West are products of Georgia Tech.
Mark Bartelstein, Priority Sports & Entertainment
--Damion James, DeShawn Stevenson
Notes: Last year, Bartelstein counted Net players Bobby Simmons, Trenton Hassell and Chris Quinn among his clients.
Matt Brown, Strategic Sports
--Sundiata Gaines, Dennis Horner
Notes: Strategic Sports represents a large number of D-League players and Americans playing overseas. Gaines and Horner are their agency's only NBA players.
Andy Miller, ASM Sports
Notes: Miller is one of the most respected sports agents in the US, with more than $300 million in contracts in force. His biggest client is Kevin Garnett.
Seth Cohen, Original Creative Management
Notes: Brooks is Cohen's only NBA client and one of only four professional basketball player clients. Brooks said he and Cohen just clicked and he credits Cohen with arranging for match-ups against top shooting guard prospects like Klay Thompson and Alec Burks.
----
For the first time in years, Dan Fegan has no Nets clients...but he does represent Dwight Howard. At one point or another in 2009-11, Fegan represented nine Nets: Stephen Graham, Rafer Alston, Yi Jianlian, Courtney Lee, Eduardo Najera, Jarvis Hayes, Quinton Ross, Troy Murphy and Humphries. He also represents Ricky Rubio.
