For "Junior Mailman", Utah Was a Look Back

Kris Humphries continued his solid play Saturday, gathering 10 points and five boards off the bench. The humbling loss to the Jazz may have been particularly grating to Humphries. He was the Jazz first lottery pick six years ago and dubbed the "Junior Mailman" but he was a major disappointment. He admits to being "real young" [19] but feels he's come a long way since. Carlos Boozer, who he backed up, agrees.

Humphries makes Yi expendable. Hope Thorn is working the phones.
Yi would probably get limited PT next year anyway, as a result, since Nets may add a PF via FA or draft (if can’t get Wall/Favors).

“Humphries makes Yi expendable” This is true.
“Hope Thorn is working the phones” Don’t get your hopes up.
Truth is that neither is a starter. And neither is necessarily a very good bench player. Humphries is OK at best. The guy is a bit out of control. Hoists up ill-advised shots very often. Yi is an enigma. He can do some things but he can not be consistent and is taken off his game quite easily by “lesser” players. Like 100% of teh Nets roster, he is over-rated by the fans.

Has anyone heard any Net representative say that the team is looking to replace Yi as starting PF next year? Please point me to that new item.
We will see Yi, Harris, and Brook in the starting lineup next year on opening day.

@robby
If you were right that Yi was always expected to be starting PF next year then what would have been the point of clearing 25+ million of cap space and getting the #1 draft pick?
Did you ever hear Yi defended recently as being the future starting PF? Of course not, but they also aren’t going to announce anything to hurt his ego.
Even Yi’s remaining supporters only hope for about 25 minutes PT off the bench.
Otherwise, Thorn and Kiki might as well hand in their resignations to Prokhorov now and avoid another year+ of sure failure.
