Power Rankings: It Could Be Worse

With NBA training camps opening Monday, ESPN has put out its last off-season (first pre-season?) power rankings. The Nets, who have been called the worst team in the East by some, rank #25 overall and #13 in the East, with the Knicks and Bucks below them. Marc Stein writes, "Nets fans will live with every single bad "Nyets" joke" as long as Mikhail Prokhorov comes through the way other oligarchs have in soccer.

Yeah is media day tommorow? I thought it was tuesday….And why would YES have a press conference they only do that for the yankees or when the Nets sign someone big.

It’s a weird configuration. Tomorrow, the Nets do their media…promos, YES intros, photos, etc…without the media present. Then, on Tuesday, the media gets let in.

I expect some news tomorrow, like the names of camp invites. So far, we have two confirmed, Blalock and Hamilton, and have heard of another, Bennet Davis of Utah Flash, but without confirmation. Normally, Nets carry four or five, but this year, they have 15 players under contract so may only have three. Plus, it’s an expense and until Prokhorov gets approved, there are still money concerns.

I think Chicago is overated. Ben Gordon is a big loss IMO. Also WAshington is overated people say if they stay healthy they can be real good but they are never healthy

Toronto has Turkelu and Bosh – and Bargnani and Calderon! Charlotte is a solid team. We are where we belong. And Indiana is not the least in the East.
