Getting Closer

Interesting week. Courtney Lee came out of his shell to say convincingly how happy he is to be a Net, no longer relying on Dwight Howard to provide updates on his mental health. The team is gathering at the Nets practice facility, leaving behind individual workouts. We look at those regimens, offer advice to Devin Harris, suggest free agency in 2010 may not be a big deal and look at a possible point guard trade.

Dwight Howard wasn’t lying. Courtney Lee is supposed to come out a month before preseason and say he hates being in New Jersey?

Whether Courtney Lee is happy or not, he’s going to be a Net. As long as he’s not going to be Brandon Marshall on us, I could care less whether he’s happy to be a Net or pissed to be a Net. As long as his performance doesn’t suffer, he could feel whatever the way he wants.

Obviously Courtney Lee was upset after the trade happened, he was a rookie starting on a finals team, who would want to leave that.
Now though he has an opportunity to get more touches and emerge into a star. Maybe he has finally realised that.
