For the Nets' Forgotten Man, It's Time for a Comeback

Eduardo Najera starts on the road back next month when, if all goes well, he'll suit up in Mexico's Red and Green on August 26 in the FIBA Americas Tournament. It will be a his first game since February when a sports hernia benched him. Surgery followed and Najera lost a season and a record of making the post season 14 straight years in college and the NBA. Like any comeback, it'll mostly be about character.

I love his hustle. That’s just the thing we need with this athletic team!
I hope he gets playing time, or at least imposes his ethic in practice.

right and the opposite is true, too. Sean Williams is a potential all-star.

Sean Williams does not know how to play basketball, period.

This guy sucks. And so does the Mexican team. He probably is a great guy personally speaking but give me a break. Show me some Sean Williams highlight clips next. How about Marcus Williams Can Mikee Moore be far behind. Hey Kristic looks great to. Lets sign Big Baby and Warrick and every bodies elses garbage. I think and hope Thorn + Kiki have learn’t their lesson. Wait for the right player at the right time, at the right price. Are we one half-assed player away from going to the finals or playoffs. I don’t think so…

This guy has a one dimensional game. He is a less talented, no offensive game, injury prone, Bruce Bowen or less. He’s good for giving intentional fouls. Better him than Antoine Wright, who can’t even give an intentional foul properly. See how fast Mark Cuban shipped HIM off the MAVS? But they both have THIS in common, they are both BAD BAD decisions by THORN. Wright was a wasted first rounder, and Najera was a foolish 3 year deal. Thorn should have hired Charles Oakley to sit on the bench and preach toughness and hustle, he would work for a hell of a lot less, and not screw our cap space.

In a week or so, we might be down 2 asst coaches. I say we make Najera a player/coach and maybe instill some of his work ethic/heart into SWillams?
