Harris, Carter Get All-NBA Votes

Devin Harris got five votes and Vince Carter got one in the annual balloting for the All-NBA teams. The two finished far below the threshold for inclusion on the All-NBA third team. Third team guards Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups garnered 158 and 131 votes. Lebron James was a unanimous first team selection. Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki round out the first team.

Agree with Max.
Also, it was interesting that CP3 had more points than Dirk but was put on 2d team. And Shaq had LESS points than KG or Deron Williams but still made 3d team.

so much for harris and vc being the best backcourt in the game! this kind of humbles you when you see what else is out there: Wade and co. are on another planet. And, yes, PP is playing amazing basketball and Ray Allen, wow. But Billups is the mvp to me.

This just doesn’t matter. What matters are the teams and players who are still playing ball. What matters is the character and collective will of the Celtics to come back and win last night. What matters is Dallas playing well enough to stay alive, versus a team that is much better than they are. What matters is the way that KG and Lebron, two folks who didn’t go to college, conduct themselves with dignity and integrity and obvious intelligence. Have either of them ever been anything but great role models? These numerous, petty post season awards mean nothing. I want to see our guys in the post season next year. I don’t care if we ever win one of these little awards, or make third team all star. I want to see us win a playoff round next year.
GO NETS!

I still thought VC should have been in the All-nba 2nd or 3rd team in 2005.
Anyways, I personally thought that Ray Allen had by far one of his best years in his professional career and was way more efficient than Pierce was this season.
Thank you to that one person who recognized and voted for Vince. He deserved way more than one vote.

“so much for harris and vc being the best backcourt in the game!”
There was only one other backcourt where both players got MVP votes – Allen (6 votes) and Rondo (2) (also Miller (1) and Iguodala (1), if Iggy is classified as a guard).

There is no award for making any of the three teams, it’s just an honor.
