March Madness...in Chicago

In the first three Bulls-Nets matchups this season, Chris Douglas-Roberts got to play just once against his college teammate, Derrick Rose, and scored just two points. He sat on the bench one game and was out with a knee injury the other. Now, CDR is "100% healthy" and contributing as a member of the Nets' rotation. Saturday will be his real chance to show fellow Tiger Rose what he's capable of.

Hopefully CDR plays like he has something to prove to his former teammate, but he should definitely not be matched against him as a PG. He doesn’t have a full grasp of the point nor can he keep up with Rose’s quickness. And Harris, though is a speed demon himself, doesn’t have the quicks to stay in front of Rose the whole game, so I expect Dooling to get the assignment.

Silly. Just plain silly. Harris destroyed Rose in their last match-up. Harris held Rose to 9 points and 5 assists while scoring 42 and dishing out 6 assists himself…and the Nets won. “Doesn’t have the quicks”…LOL.

You’ve seemed a bit more vindictive and argumentative than usual lately, Net Income. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but man. Lighten up!

Don’t get me wrong, I like CDR, but Rose hit the league much more ready and complete as an NBA player. “IF” CDR is going to be a contributing NBA player, he has got alot of work to do. He does not have alot of athletic skill, but he is a basketball player. Plenty of productive college players just don’t translate to the pros. It is years too soon to tell about CDR, but I hope he gets consistent rotation time, either with the NETS or someone else over the next few years and I hope he succeeds. GO CDR! GO NETS! BEAT THE BULLS!

Harris usually does good against teams that don’t have a big man to protect the basket. Harris again will dominate plus Rose is not a very good Defensive PG now in his career.
Honestly I rather have Rose any day over harris. Rose looks to be a more of a complete package PG, scoring, dishing, speed, outside range. He just needs to work on D.
He should get ROY.

Rose isn’t quite the distributor that everyone thinks he is…Hollinger writes about that quite a lot. That could change in the future, but right now the reality doesn’t quite match his reputation.

So what happened to VC? Injured or ejected? And geez Harris is completely anti-clutch, he needs to work on his passing out of double teams and not freakin turning the ball over when it counts! And oh what a revelation our rookies are. If only we had this kind of production at the 4 in those close games, and had CDR scoring off the bench we could have won a lot more games this season. Well that’s a rap for the playoffs everyone, I’ll be rootin for Orlando cuz they are the only team I don’t hate with a passion.
