Hodge Wants One More Shot

Julius Hodge is hopeful he can get another shot at the NBA and hints he'd like it in New Jersey. In his Hoopshype blog, Hodge talks about how he's been playing the point in France, knowing it's his most likely ticket back. Discussing the Nets, Hodge says he reads "the Nets are committed to keep the core intact" but adds he's been working on those areas Lawrence Frank told him he needs to improve.

Man the guy isn’t even on the team, yet he expresses so much gratitude and loyalty towards the Nets. Anyone know if he has improved in France? I wouldn’t mind signing a veteran PG seeing as how we were totally screwed when DH went down and Dooling and Vince were worked to death at the point, plus CDR is a shooting guard, he scores, he’s best at setting himself up plain and simple.

As long as he doesn’t get too full of himself!

Have always thought Hodge would be a useful NBA player some day. But he needs to develop his jumpshot- that has always been the strongest impediment to his staying in the league. Great guy though, so I wish him the best regardless of where he plays.

Anthony,
The mindset that my b-ball coaches instilled in me was that you shouldn’t be content, gloat or toot your own horn unless you’ve actually accomplished something otherwise you’re making an ass out of yourself. Sure he did well this year, this team won more than blah blah so it was an accomplishment blah blah. At the end of the day winning is winning and losing is losing. Well that’s just my mindset to ball, I don’t have anything against Harris’ character.

Lets not even waste our time this summer League and give his spot to a younger player

julius hodge is not a bad player but he needs to know tht he has areas he need to improve on. if he makes the team, there is goin to be no spot for him. i mean we are going to sign free agents and probably a third point guard. he should be thinking tryin to sign or practice with another team.
