The Nets finished the 2008-09 season with 34 wins, the same number they won a year earlier. Playing without Devin Harris and Vince Carter at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, the Nets shot just 31 percent from the field and turned the ball over 20 times, suffering one of their worst defeats of the season. The game was close until the middle of the second quarter, but the Nets scored just four points in the last seven minutes of the first half and the Knicks really opened the game up early in the third period. Chris Douglas-Roberts led the Nets with 18 points and Ryan Anderson recorded the third double-double of his career.
