Intrigue at the IZOD

If you're Ettore Messina's agent, Dave D'Alessandro has some advice: don't book him a flight to Newark. Dave hints in his mailbag that the Yahoo! report on Messina's availability was little more than a Kiki Vandeweghe comment blown out of context. The implication that Kiki will hire the next coach didn't sit well with Rod Thorn, who Dave says is "extremely ticked, vexed, riled, honked, irked". More on Yi's agent as well.

this is not fair!!!!!!!
alright rod because u know his father for a long time you cant fire him????
its not fair for all the nets fans and also the young ball players that want to learn from a good coach.
since he has come here to nj as a head ocach he has never brought them to the confrence finals
before him there was byronn scott who has the same team and he brought them to the nba finals twice and the easter confrence finals once.
so frank go to go
IN ROD WE TRUST BT ROD YOU HAVE TO DO IT

@joe t

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. It’s a good sign for Frank’s job security that so many of his detractors never passed remedial English.

you simply have no appreciation for post modern, freestyle poetry.

i have to disagree with joel t,

1. the time Byron Scott brought them to the finals was because the eastern conference was extremely weak

2. The time the nets lost in the second round with Frank against the Pistons was because Jason Kidd had a bad knee, so this was not the same healthy team, and Pistons and Pacers became the top team contenders in the East

3. A year later, they lost k-mart and Kerry K which was big blow and decided to rebuild until they got Vince Carter. And
now a whole different team

4. The east got better after the nets were in the finals, Miami with shaq and wade, pistons, and now it got even better with celtics, cavs and magic

I am not a Frank supporter, but do not say the scott had the same talented team that frank had

Also people fail to note that all our playoff exits in the vc era were to conference and finals finalists as well as the Miami heat championship team. Thinking in that sense I was able to get over my major dissapointment of those years.

The Nets lost to the eventual NBA champions in 2002 (Lakers), 2003 (Spurs), 2004 (Pistons) and 2006 (Heat). They lost to the conference champions in 2007 (Cavaliers).

What they are basically saying is they dont care about us fans, there ticket sales and there overall ratings. I am telling you if Frank doesnt shake things up next season I will never step foot into izod again to see them play unless he is fired. I will not support or watch them either. I will probably watch the Knicks….
