Milwaukee Mattered

They're feeling pretty good right now. They understand how important the win over the Bucks was and how they have to keep winning, starting with the Celtics. Rod Thorn thinks they'll have to buck it up like they did in Milwaukee to have a playoff shot. He's not concerned with Devin Harris' asthma, that it happens. What's not happening, he adds, is any roster move, even with Stromile Swift now in Phoenix.

Although I won’t be upset if the Nets lose this game (I mean, come on you can’t expect them to beat the Celtics), I will be upset if this team puts up a lackluster performance like they did the last few times. Challenge the Celtics, make it go down to the last few minutes, and most importantly the players should play good to increase their confidence.

The Nets should still take the Celtics seriously tonight. Just because they havn’t been doing so good doesn’t mean that they can win this easily. A win tonight by the Nets and a loss by the Bucks can place the Nets back in the playoff picture. I don’t like the fact that they have to do this on back to back nights, but these wins are important for them, so they can’t mess up here. However, they also have upcomming games against Magic and Knicks, so they have to win those as well. After that, they have seem to have a west coast road trip with the Warriors, Blazers, and Clippers. Honestly, I think that they should try to win most of their next games so that they can clinch a playoff spot and feel unhindered the rest of the way, though I would like to see them enter playoffs higher than eighth.
