Lineup Changes Ahead?

The Nets liked Yi Jianlian's aggressiveness Sunday...at least when he had the ball in his hands. He had his second double digit game in a month. They weren't so crazy about his zero rebounds, though. Whether Yi gets minutes vs. his old team depends on how much Bobby Simmons has recovered. But over the next week, as the reality of the lottery sinks in, expect Yi and the other kids to get more minutes.

“I’d rather see Jamie Feick” – Trenton
That is an amazing reference! WOW!

Jamie Feick was a reasonably solid rebounder of decent toughness, and he could shoot from up to 15 feet. The comparison shouldn’t be made as a joke—he would be a hundred times better than Yi is currently.

yi, cdr, ryan, brook all get minutes (well brook has been so he will probably see the same amount or a little less to get boone out there more)
vince, devin, trent, can take a seat longer. if we had a 3rd pg we really would rest devin more, but we dont unless we want to use CDR there and have him and KD man the pt.
devin-cdr-ryan-yi-brook would be interesting to watch. im sure we would get eaten up defensively but we are anyway with devin, vince, trent, bobby, hayes on the floor(not at the same time obviously).
even though Yi has been awful, i’d like to see him play a lot of minutes (unless hes in foul trouble which is frequent). i’d like to see him at the 3 and if we go small and take brook out instead of boone i’d like to see Yi at the 5.
its time to give all the kids extended playing time. if we were eliminated earlier we could have had more games where the kids can play and not look over their shoulder and get pulled out. now they can play through mistakes and that is what kids need.
lets look at it this way. if we see cdr, ryan and/or Yi’s play improve the last handful of games, but we still lose i think thats a bonus. we improve our draft stock and we see improvement and confidence from those 3.
i think it is EXTREMELY important for Yi to end on a high note. i dont want this depressed Yi going into the summer

I’m with Jim:
Starting Lineup for Rest of Season
1 Devin Harris-PG
2 Chris Douglas-Roberts-SG
3 Vince Carter-SF
4 Ryan Anderson-PF
5 Brook Lopez-C
And give Yi and Swat and Boone minutes.
Frankly, I would rather lose the rest of the games, and get the 8th or 9th or tenth pick in the draft.
I want to see the kids play. Limit VC to 30 minutes. Play CDR at the 1 and the 2. Play Yi at the three and Anderson too.
I don’t want to see Hassell. I don’t want to see too much of VC. Don’t play Dooling too much either. Let’s spend the last 9 games of the season looking forward to the future.
Go NETS of 2011-2012!

Agree with all who say the rest of the games should be played mainly by the rookies, ALL OF THEM! The Nets organization should at least give them a chance to experience playing in NBA games where they’re free to learn from the actual experience. Everyone knows on-the-job training is invaluable. Plus can we fans at least see what the (unbridled) rookies bring? 25 and under, might bring the thunder! Go Nets ROOKIES!

@ Boki
Bring back Jamie Feick! I would rather have him on the floor than Yi. You make great points. The only thing Yi does better than Jamie Feick is shoot the three. BIG WHOOP!

Rod is printing out the red slip AS WE SPEAK… It’s over for Frank!
I’m so glad that we had this embarassment of a game…No more Frankburger.

damn we stink! let sean play!
funny another one of my comments doesnt get posted. yi has the lowest shooting % in the paint of any 7fter in the league. he stinks!

GET THE FEICK OUTTA HERE! WOW bringin back the 1999 or 2000 season like woah.
Frank needs to go. The guys are obviously not motivated. Yi is a piece of garbage and RJ is showing us that quite plainly tonight.
I think they should have let Jarvis Hayes stay with his new child!
by Alex F on Mar 30, 2009 8:48 PM EDT reply actions
that was an embarrassment. i went early hoping to get a signature from RJ before the game – he did not even come out to meet or sign for fans. and then the nets play like they are in a preseason scrimmage. wtf. i left at halftime. what a waste of $12 for parking.
the only silver lining to come out of this is that we are improving our odds at the top pick in the draft each time we take the floor. i honestly don’t think we win another game this season – and i hope we don’t if it will help us get a big time power forward in the draft (aka blake griffin).
the nets should be paying fans to come to the rest of these games – free parking, free tickets, and a hot dog and soda for your effort!
and have always been a big frank supporter – but i think some of you guys are right – and this could be the end of the line for him. too many games with no effort or intensity. i think they (rod and kiki) will realize its time to start over with a new coach. you need to have someone to instill intensity and defensive mindset and unfortunately that has never been done here.

The last game at the ’Zod should be free…..i agree…but still no one would waste their time.
This game obviously solidifed Frank’s firing after the offseason..absolutely NO question about that.
Look for Jeff Van Gundy.
Starting lineup for WED vs. Detroit:

Brook Lopez-C

i agree with that lineup for wed. i might actually pay the parking if that was the lineup.

@ all you morons..
why the heck would the last game be free??
It’s still gonna cost the team money to play the game..
I’m glad the season is almost over…can’t stand most you so called fans.
