Nets' Big Men Pay Big Visit to Little Kids

It didn't get any publicity before or after from the Nets' PR machine. It was done quietly. On Tuesday, Josh Boone, Brook Lopez and Sly visited the pediatric ward at Newark's University Hospital, delivering teddy bears, books, games and toys, all donated by Boone. The parent of one three-year-old said, "Seeing these players put a smile on his face." UMDNJ released video of the visit. Merry Christmas, big guys.

Say what you want about the organization but they do A LOT for the state of New Jersey in the community. The Devils like to call themselves “New Jersey’s Team” but that don’t do HALF of the stuff the NETS do for the community. Proud as always to be a Nets fan.

Boone seems like such an upstanding guy… everything you hear about him… Wish he had a better offensive skill set on the court, but great guy.

Did you see that little guy’s face? Totally lit up when he saw Boone and Lopez! The guys did this without fanfare or PR? That made it even better. Happy Holidays to all. GO NETS!!
