Hayes, Dooling Concerned about Season

Jarvis Hayes and Keyon Dooling were two of the Nets' best three point shooters last season. Between them, they've played 59 minutes. Hayes could be back this weekend, but fears if he reinjures his hamstring, he could be lost for the year. Meanwhile, Dooling has had to admit he won't be "back to normal" until next season. Tony Battie may play, but Eduardo Najera remains out with a bad back.

Hayes and CDR being out should mean extra PT for TWill.

Not sure what TWill did or said to deserve his limited PT in last couple of games? He had been playing better than advertised in the first few games back since his 2 game benching.

I will be real upset with Kiki if TWill doesn’t get minutes beginning with Q1 tonight and continue playing him as long as he does what he was told.

With Dooling finally admitting what I suspected about not being fully recovered from the surgery, means that Alston may command a better price this year for a competing playoff team looking for another PG.

As long as Dooling seems capable of playing, I would look to trade Alston ASAP and fill in with one of the youngs, if needed. Dooling is better for making rest of players better, which is what Nets need this year.

Battie reminds me of Magloire -> DINOSAUR!

This may be a blessing in disguise.
Twill CDR CLee get more time, learn to shoot, and probably keep the Nets from winning more games. Trade Alston for a draft pick to make sure twill get time at PG

When I was growing up, there were no guranteed contracts, in any sports… Please, bring back the past…

@Ray
Plz keep nate robinson away from TWill.
Houston got Aaron Brooks for Alston, so why shouldn’t Nets be able to get something good.

Anyone hear why Alston and Simmons didn’t play?
Hope it wasn’t because they were injured, but rather Kiki figured out Nets were better without them.

if only lopez had played like his normal self we might have won vs minnesota. instead he got a season low 9 pts.

good game for Yi in his season, after injury, debut 22-8

Some positives about the game:

Besides Yi, Dooling looked good, Battie was an Active Dinosaur.
Also, Alston and Simmons didn’t play was a positive.
Agree that if Lopez was himself, then Nets win.

Also on the bright side – Nets increased chances for being the worst team this year!
