Game 29 - Timberwolves @ Nets - Wednesday, December 23, 7:30

It's not exactly the battle of the titans. The Nets and T'Wolves, the NBA's two worst teams, will face off at the IZOD, the NBA's worst venue, to prove which is the lesser of two evils. The Nets lost to the T'Wolves on opening night, after being up 16. After that, you know the story. On Tuesday night, Minnesota lost to Atlanta by 25. Kevin Love, who didn't play in that first game, had 12 points and 19 rebounds.

Maybe we will be down by 16 in the 4th quarter, make a comeback and game winner by Courtney Lee, followed by a 18 game winning streak

is selling nets tickets for a living the hardest job?

Does anyone know why TWill has had his minutes cut again? Seems he was playing better than ever since the 2 games out of the lineup.
Must be something he said or did OFF the court? (TWill needs to think before he speaks)
With CDR out, it makes no sense not to play TWill for over 30 minutes, especially with both CDR and Hayes returning soon.
Why is Najera out again? If a trade with Utah happens, I sure hope they can include Najera.
No mention of Battie regarding injury report. Has Battie played his last game?

Basketball, including the Nets, means nothing. Why do we waste so much of our lives devoted to misfits, incompetents and losers.
This world must not be the real world.
Illusions built on misunderstandings, ending in confusion.
Who cares, lets go Nets…

Endless chatter, endless, it don’t matter.
Lets win tonight, tomorrow will take care of it’s self…

Kevin Love is good, Al Jefferson is good, Flynn is lightning quick, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves predicting a Nets win. I said it before before the Warriors game, our beloved Nets can lose to anyone at this point, no matter who they’re playing. Of course I will watch, of course I will root for my favorite team, but let’s not get over-excited for something that’s more unlikely than likely. Let’s just watch game, hope for a win, and that’s that.

This will be an exciting game. It’s so imprortant for both teams, I am afraid somebody might get injured again. This game will show to everyone what’s competition about. Even Santa Claus will not miss this game, although I know he is busy right now. Ho HO HO HO Merry Christmas

The Jazz traded Eric Maynor away to the Thunder just to save money. If the Nets wanted AK they’d giftwrapped him for us. But I’d rather consider that deal in the offseason if there aren’t better options in the FA market (which may very well be the case).

if NJN will lose this one, they will be 2-80, maybe 3-79

Jefferson better than Lopez, Love better than Yi, Flynn better than Harris, everybody better than Lee. Who has the better team?

This is a game for the ages. If they lose, their chances of going into the record books as the worst team ever dramatically increase.
If they lose, with their record, they could make a big midseason trade to get a good player and still wind up with the worst record in the league this year, although maybe avoid being the worst ever. I think they have gotten so bad that they have given up on a top tier FA next year (mainly because said top tier FAs have given up on them), and so I would not be surprised if in the next few weeks they did ship expiring contracts for a good player who is not a 2010 FA, e.g. Caron Butler. Once Prokey is in charge they will have the resources to afford respectability in 2010.

@amin. Seems that folks have better things to do with their time tonight, holiday and all than show up for this. I will be there only because my daughter has a couple of lower level seats through her job. Anyone want my upper levels?

No, it’s the nets and the t’wolves, the 2 worse teams in the league, in the deadest arena in all of sports, the night before Christmas eve. Everybody’s got other stiff to do. If a shot falls in the swamp, and nobody’s there to see it… I don’t know how to end that, but there should be a punch line about Yi.

@amin
you mean is “anybody” showing up for the game.
Answer- at least 10 paying people. Can’t you tell from the lack of comments?
@mt57
You got it!
That’s why some of us are considering what NI had mentioned regarding taking Kirilenko now (fits in with Nets goals), especially if Utah takes back Najera and Nets can improve their 2010 draft pick status at same time.
@Andres
Yes I was reading the ESPN views about Utah giving up Maynor just to shed Harpring’s salary. Utah will need to add another player (to have 13) within 2 weeks. Nets have plenty of bodies (LOL) to allow for a 2:1 or 3:1 or 4:2!

Hey, check it out, I am in the all access club sipping on complimentary champagne, Xmas cookies and cupcakes too. Go Nets!
