Yi Back, CDR Out

Yi Jianlian had a full practice Monday--in fact, a three hour practice--in hopes of being able to return to action Wednesday vs. the Wolves. "It takes more than one or two practices to be ready," said Kiki Vandeweghe, unsure how he'll use the seven-footer. Yi hasn't played since Game 4. Chris Douglas-Roberts took himself out of the Wolves' game. His ankle remains sore. Still, the Nets had 13 players on the court.

The Nets are so bad, that they are good…

Nobody cares about the in betweens…

Winners and Losers…

That’s all that counts…

“Beautiful loser
 Read it on the wall
 And realize
You just can’t have it all
You just can’t have it, John Wall”

Nice to see Yi coming back soon
To relieve us of the travesty that is Josh Boone
So finally people in stands need not fear
Of a wayward free throw flying towards their ear
The days of Boone getting 30 minutes are nearly done
And Yi will give us hope more scoring is to come.

I really like Yi… but I don’t think he should be given his starting job right away. Josh Boone has done a solid job and deserves to start until Yi is 100% and his play proves he’s ready to start again (I like what I was seeing from him before getting injured).

Yi should come off the bench for more offense. Boone has played well alongside Lopez and I think we should keep him at PF.

Welcome back Yi!! get well soon CDR, the kid has been some bad luck lately w/ the knee and now his ankle. Freak stuff

Boone has not played well. Perhaps you guys have forgot but this guy has regressed in a big way since Marcus Williams left. He had a stretch of several double doubles in a row and a couple of 20-10 games. Now he puts up numbers that Jamie Feick beats and all of the sudden he is playing well? Right. Feick essentially averaged double figure rebounds in the same role and was in the mid to upper mid 20s in minutes too. It should also be noted that if Yi continues to average +7 rebounds Boone’s minutes are effectively done. He routinely disappears over time in a bench role.

Mr DB is right… of course Josh has played well. People around the league have noticed it too.
