Game 25 - Nets @ Cavaliers - Tuesday, December 15, 7:00

Lebron James says he's stopped taking questions about free agency...but you know he'll be asked. After all, at least in theory, the Nets are a possible destination for King James. Not that it matters. July 1 is a long way away and right now, James is trying to move up in the conference standings. The Cavs are currently fourth in the East. So don't expect him to take the Nets for granted, Jay-Z or no Jay-Z.

Any news on Dooling’s hip injury? How did it happen anyway? Is it related to his surgery. Dooling is key player who makes teammates better and allows Alston (who isn’t good for the young players) to be expendable.
I like the idea of Hassell starting at SF just to try to foul or be fouled by Lebron. Then give CDR easier PT off the bench.
I haven’t seen much written about TWill. He looked great in Sunday’s game. Kiki may be doing wonders with the kid by tearing him down and bringing him back. Some apologies may be in order from his recent detractors.
Even SWat was impressive defensively under the boards Sunday – At least 3 blocks and altering other shots. And for the first time ZERO fouls!! I’m sure Brook would like to have SWat by his side.

@ jerry25
im sure that more than SWat, Lopez would love to have wade, lebron, dirk and so on at thousand times b4 i use SWat on my lineup.

by JayMS on Dec 14, 2009 10:40 PM EST reply actions
I wonder if Yi will be wearing a mask? That would be big news in China.

Was wondering the same thing. Not a word.

Hey Net Income, I forgot how I came upon this site “netsdaily.com”… but I’ve been a very big fan of this for about 2 years or so now. I used to just go on the Nets official website on nba.com; but ever since I came across this site, I feel I don’t need to go on any other Nets website because you guys give me all the information I need to know. Great job for real!
Anyway… I was wondering… Besides being a really big and loyal Nets fan, whether they’re doing really well or sucking it up badly like this year, I’m also a really big and loyal New York Giants fan and New York Yankees fan. I’m also a New Jersey Devils fan, as well.
My question is… Do you guys also do any websites just as good as this one for the New York Giants, New York Yankees, and New Jersey Devils???
If not… What websites can you recommend for me where they are just as informative and up-to-date as netsdaily.com?
Also… Is yankeesdaily.com run by you guys?
Thanks! Happy Holidays to everyone on here!
GO NETS!!! If we don’t get a win, at least let’s make ourselves look really good for LeBron to want to join us!

lorenzo, no we don’t run any other websites. Running this one is more than enough work.
yankeesdaily is run by someone who read this site and “borrowed” our format.

Lebron goes for a triple double 30-12-10
Nets declared worst team in the 2000s
from tittle contender, twice eastern conf champs to missing the playoffs and become the worst team in the NBA
nice resume on thron and ratner’s side

LeBron can make his mark as the “greatest basketball player” ever. All he would have to do, is lead the Nets to a championship title. Many have tried and all have failed.
Maybe LeBron, deep down, needs and wants this challenge of all challenges.
He might go down as the greatest team player, in all of sports history, if he won with the Nets.
Here’s to attacking windmills…

@Mike Says:
L.James is not going to be a Net here in New Jersey, Newark or Brooklyn.
You use the word Challenge.
Well let him challenge himself towards winning in Cleveland for now.
Please root for him to get to the finals.
This way K.Bryant and crew can stick it to him and the other clown know as Shaq.
So close, yet so far.
Oh by the way. Orlando and Boston are far better then Cleveland.
Even our Nets are better at many positions besides SF/L.James spot.
GO BROOKLYN NETS! GO BROOKLYN ENTS! GO BROOKLYN NETS!
by Dziedzic on Dec 15, 2009 12:23 PM EST reply actions
If Lebron got to finals, Nets fans should all be rooting for Cavs. The media sure would be.
If Cavs. won championship (and Shaq retired), that would increase chance for Lebron going to a bad team (Nets) to become King of Brooklyn.
Don’t forget than Leon Powe will be playing for Cavs around February. He is a high energy winner (with Boston) and could change the odds. He is just the type of person who could help the Nets if wasn’t too late for a deal.
by jerry25 on Dec 15, 2009 2:14 PM EST reply actions
@jerry…
Lebron James has publicly stated that if he goes anywhere it will be to WIN first and foremost. So, if he wins a championship this year in Cleveland and his starting center, who averages 10 & 7 retires, he’s bailing on them and going to a “bad” team to become more popular? I don’t see that happening.
by Dirt on Dec 15, 2009 3:45 PM EST reply actions
@Dirt
If Lebron wins this year, then everything changes.
He wouldn’t come to Nets just to become “popular”, but also to prove that he can turn any team into a champion.
If Nets did actually sign Wall and presumably get another piece via trade or FA, then Nets certainly wouldn’t be a “bad” team without James. With him they could would compete for East and possibly win Championship in his 2nd year.
Don’t forget if Nets got Wall, they would probably have a good wing player to trade. Also, I expect TWill to start living up to expectations – just not sure at what position.

Lopez is showing James that he is going to be his Center next year, not the Shaqtus or Zydranus.
