Game 24 - Nets @ Hawks - Sunday, December 13, 5:00

The Nets could have anywhere from eight to 12 players available for the Hawks Sunday, but if they played the way they did vs. the Pacers, it won't matter much. After playing one of their worst games against a struggling Indiana team, the Nets face the surprisingly strong Hawks in Atlanta. Now 16-6, the Hawks feature just the kind of young, athletic team that has ruined a lot of nights so far this season.

Another Double Digit loss. Not the players fault. The front office traded away the wrong players. New Headline next week. Nets first NBA team to play to an empty arena

How quickly will the Newark Doormats get rolled this time?

Wolves are an Xmas present! 5 more loses? I geuss Kiki and Del Harris are not the solution? I geuss we have bigger problems – like no heart, no shooting, no toughness, no stars, no defense, and NOW no game plan or intensity or control from the coaches.

have you ever seen, even in TV, an eagle taking a snake 300 feet high and then it releases the reptile whose end couldnt have been worse ???
well the hawks will probably do the same to us!!!
Lost all hope on:
Yi
twill
Battie
Simmons
Boone
SWat
Hassell
Keep only:
Lope/——
--/——
CDR/Jayes
Lee/——
Harris/Alston/Dooling
and by waiving all the others we can sign some decent guys to our roster.
P.S i still believe that we arent winning only because we Lack in 1 single spot, well in most of them but the main one, a proven star.
a big name, someone who can take the decisions in the last minute, someone our opponents will look to guard closely, somebody who carries the defense away from the kids to give them a change to score.
2010 plz

loss. nothing else to say. btw i rele hope that b-lo is an all star but its gonna be rele hard for him to make it considering the teams record… which is rele unfortunate because i really think he deserves it.

Why is C Lee being given a free pass. His shooting % stinks and he is being abused on D. He is not big or quick enough to handle being an effective starter. Bring back RA.

@Tom F AGREED….Finally someone Is Noticing The “Free Pass Treatment”..Move CDR BACK 2 his NATURAL position and Make C Lee a Nice 6th Man
by The GM on Dec 12, 2009 11:09 PM EST reply actions
Exactly, the GM!
Before TWill’s head gone crazy, he started the season with a string of very good games, when Lee was nowhere to be found.
The two players who have been consistently good this season are Lopez and CDR. Not Harris, not Lee….

I hope the Nets organization learned from their mistakes, and trade for players with high basketball IQ.
J. Kidd -———- D. Harris
V. Cater -——— C. Lee
R. Jefferson -— Y. Jianlian
J. Collins -—— J. Boone
Thank God for B. Lopez

Yeah guys, I mean it’s not like Courtney Lee has been the only player playing consistent defense whenever he does play.
Definitely play other guys who slack on defense way more! We don’t need defense, we need more bricks!

If BLopez can get his numbers up to 20-10, then the publicity will force the coaches to take notice and pick him to Allstar game.

I am most concerned with Dooling’s hip injury and haven’t heard much about it. Is it related to his surgery?
Alston would be Okay for a contender, but Dooling is what THIS Nets team needs as well as TWill growing up – then at least Nets would be competing again.
I get the feeling that even when Alston is playing well, he is taking points away from someone else, whereas Dooling makes everyone else better.
Add on a real PF and then CLee and DH start looking better.
by jerry25 on Dec 13, 2009 8:50 AM EST reply actions
Didn’t we have an emerging PF in Anderson, oh yeah, we got C Lee for him. C Lees, as much as he’s a good player, is someone we just didn’t need. We needed Anderson.
Punish the Rat, don’t buy a ticket or any Nets stuff till he sells.

I must say that Kiki at least remains calm. He presents a feeling of confidence – not the arm waving, hysterical, meddling with substitutions Frank that more often than not made things worse.
Because he is at least in part responsible for this “roster”, Kiki should be the one to suffer to make this work. Kind of like Isaiah Thomas – only not as bad. Someone has made some really big mistakes here – losing Carter, Jefferson, and Anderson for Lee, Yi, and Alston with the rest of the players ranging from irrelevant (Battie) to downright abysmal (Simmons).
And while we’re on the subject of Yi – this guy has basically been a no show since he got here. And get ready for the next excuse: “he’s been out a long time and his game is rusty”. So no Yi until at least January.

I heard that Yi will be back Wednesday? Waiting for it….

RA has been struggling in Orlando playing alongside Howard… What does that tell you? I’m not saying lee is better but let’s not pretend that if we had RA we wouldn’t be in the same position…

RA is struggling?

11 pts in 20 minutes on 44% FG and 39% 3FG is pretty good.

When we move to Newark for a couple of seasons, We should change the name of the team to the N.J. Bricks. How fitting that Newark is " the Brick City" and it’s basketball team can’t make a jumpshot for anything.

Netsdaily,
Is there anyway we can pin the Game threads to the top of the page until the game is over? It’s just easier and might lead to a bit more activity.
Love the site.

@ Barry Popik – Ike Diogu had season-ending surgery. Why would the Nets be interested? Oh, and by the way, since you suggested that – Chris Paul came back.
