Hollinger: T'Wolves "Significantly Worse" Than Nets

On Monday, John Hollinger ranked the Nets 29th in his power rankings (surprising us). On Tuesday, he explains his reasoning, noting that while the Nets have been competitive all season, the Wolves' have been repeatedly blown out. He also cites the Nets' defense, now in the top half of the league in most measurements and how much they've been on the road. Bottom line: Wolves may be the NBA's worst...ever.

Almost everybody agreed going into the season, that the Nets had talent. Everybody agreed that they probably wouldn’t win much. So what has changed. Nothing… The Nets have talented young players and are going to improve once they get themselves together as a team. All the injuries have delayed this process. So why is everybody so surprised and down on the Nets now?

14th in defense. That’s something to build on. If we can get someone into the rotation who can make outside shots, and get the inside-outside game going, we’ll be OK.

Maybe they can get 3 guys who can shoot back into the rotation..Yi, Hayes, and Dooling (shot well last year)… to play more than others who can’t shoot so well.

that’s funny, how T-Wolves beat Denver on the road the other day.

@ JohnY – Agreed – I think John Hollinger didn’t even look at that game before writing this stuff up. Amazing! He should be fired.

Yeah, let’s hire a couple of guys who might watch a game twice a week to replace him because they obviously know better.

It’s clear that Hollinger is an idiot. Anti-Nets guy too.

I feel for the team. This must be like being in an auto crash and waiting for the ambulence and you see hundreds of rubbernecking drivers are looking at you to see if there’s any blood visible.

I don’t mean this article proves that Hollinger is an idiot. I’m not an ESPN insider and I didnt read it. I mean, it’s a well known fact that that Hollinger is an idiot.
