Game 7 - Celtics @ Nets - Saturday, November 7, 7:30

The Celtics are generally considered the NBA's best...or were until they lost their first game Friday to the Suns. The Nets are generally considered the NBA's worst...period. The Celtics are healthy. The Nets are more like a sick bay. So Saturday's game between Boston and New Jersey isn't exactly a Battle of the Titans and if Courtney Lee can't play, the Nets will likely field eight players, the NBA minimum.

WE GOT THIS!

Can we at least not be fodder for boosting the Celts record? Other than TO, Boston has no other competition in the division. I’m hoping for an epic collapse that will give Nets their first win!

Relax guys, we’ve had a rough season so far, but win 1 is only 2 weeks away! (maybe even 5 days…) Point is, until proven otherwise this isn’t even the worst team in the tri-state area.

by Frigidevil on Nov 7, 2009 2:00 AM EST reply actions

0-8. yea… we’re gonna lose so bad its gonna count as 2 losses.

by VC3 on Nov 7, 2009 2:32 AM EST reply actions

Yes its going to be a loss, but you gott support the team. You never know, this period of torment and trial may well be the making of this team, with the bench gelling and putting in the minutes ahead of the return of the walking wounded.

[there you go, a postive spin on things, even i was wondering if that was going to be possible]

by Scott on Nov 7, 2009 7:45 AM EST reply actions

@mr. omG

lol @ “Lopez 19 Pts (goes out in the 3rd with a strain knee)”

but it would be true.

by jarkid on Nov 7, 2009 8:09 AM EST reply actions

all nets players with injuries replace damaged body parts with robotic limbs, nets win by 12,000 points and Garnett loses his right arm.

What happens if an NBA team such as Nets (with 8 players now) all get the Swine Flu at the same time?

by jerry25 on Nov 7, 2009 10:46 AM EST reply actions

Did anyone catch the RJ monster facial dunk last night in 4th Q vs. Portland? One of best dunks ever – outstretched one handed over Greg Odum, with RJ’s left hand over Odum’s head!
It was #1 on NBATV best plays:
http://www.nba.com/video/highlights/

RJ had 19 in the loss as Parker left with an injury.
It was Jefferson’s 3rd straight good game.

by jerry25 on Nov 7, 2009 11:09 AM EST reply actions

whats the status on courtney lee

by Andy on Nov 7, 2009 11:45 AM EST reply actions

I miss RJ too…

by MrT on Nov 7, 2009 11:54 AM EST reply actions

@ jerry25 – I shudder to even think about that.

@ MrT – So do I.

@ Andy – Apparently he will try to play tonight, not sure for how long or how effective he will be.

Hey guys, read CDR’s last tweets… they don’t sound good at all…

by Andrés on Nov 7, 2009 12:56 PM EST reply actions

Boom Shakalaka!

by Dirt on Nov 7, 2009 1:08 PM EST reply actions

I don’t really understand Twitter. Is that CDR tweeting about the bad news from the doctor and how classy management is, or is that the person that goes by the name, Echofan?

I’m only 27. I shouldn’t be this out of touch with new technology yet. God I need a new cellphone.

by Dirt on Nov 7, 2009 1:18 PM EST reply actions

Ecophon….a Twitter app on IPhones. I’m embarrassed.

by Dirt on Nov 7, 2009 1:20 PM EST reply actions

by big daddy phil on Nov 7, 2009 4:58 PM EST reply actions

I just realized with all the injuries we have only 2 smalls. Opie has to got big. So what happens. We play good D against the Celtics. This will be our best game this year so far.

by Mr. Big on Nov 7, 2009 7:59 PM EST reply actions

I take that back. Opie will still go with Najera and Simmons at the 4. Book it.
