Najera: "I Can Run with Everybody"

Eduardo Najera is healthy. After missing all but 27 games last season, he tells the Denver Post "I feel so much better. Hopefully I’ll hold up." Thrust into the starting lineup for the Nuggets game, Najera played well with 14 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Asked about how long he can play, Najera said it's up to his body, but "right now I feel that I can run with everybody."

only saw the first half (lucky me), but the defense is much better with him in there. He is more active and covers better on switches. He is quicker and more determined than Yi and he understands what defense is. Plus, he gave us better offensive numbers in fewer minutes.

Josh Boone should start next to Lopez.

Najara is a SF but in Frank’s system he is a C

I hope Najera plays great and stays healthy. Then maybe we can trade him to some sucker down the road.

by Mike on Nov 6, 2009 10:43 AM EST reply actions

Najera just doesn’t fit with the Nets, no reason to sign him to that 4 year contract. He belongs in a championship team to provide some energy, the Nets don’t need energy they need talent.

Boone and Swat should be waive asap. Each time Boone has the balls is a negative. Notice how he always get hit hard. " I better make sure the Refs see this foul"

Swat will not be sign why waste playing time on him when Simmons or Najara can play.

@ Seeker
did you just write “Swat will not be sign why waste playing time on him when Simmons or Najara can play”???

Simmons will not be here either next year so why not give SWat the playing time. Simmons makes $10M/year and is in his last year of his contract…. Why play him is the real question. Play SWat , he’s young and if he steps up his game this year we can resign him next year on the Cheap.

i hate najera. 1st good night in years…

for him this game was like back when koby got 81 againts the Raptors.

P.S Simmons is the worst player the nba has ever seem. barely 2 points out of a man that once averaged 16 and won 6th man award…..

WTF man you forgot how to shoot. give me a gun and put your head in the other side, ill show you in one lesson how to sink the ball in the basket

>:( i hate simmons.

As a head coach yo just assume Simmons will play hard and want to do well since he is in his last year. Plus if he does do well some dumb GM can be calling. He does have some talent in his 3 point shooting. Which he hasn’t shown yet.

The reason why you don’t play Swat is becasue he can’t shoot and wants to shoot, he can’t dribble drive yet he wants to do that, he can’t pass either, and of all his image is a big Negative.

So you dont’ play Swat, is a waste of time.

@Seeker
between pre-season and regular season B. Simmons has taken 45 shots and made 2 (are you serious?)

by Dan the Fan on Nov 6, 2009 2:22 PM EST reply actions

LMFAO, seeker, you can’t be serious.

Bobby Simmons is shooting 10.5% from the field and 0.0% beyond the arc. He’s GARBAGE. This BUM is a momentum killer, keeps jacking up contested bricks even if he doesn’t make any, and hurts this team and our young players’ development BIG TIME. Seriously, he’s that horrible.

by Andrés on Nov 6, 2009 2:27 PM EST reply actions

Can you double check those two shots made by Simmons. I can remember one, but two?

by Mike on Nov 6, 2009 3:58 PM EST reply actions

@ mike ,
your right , one was a jump shot and the other was a tip in, in the other team’s basket .
